Humber College’s new cultural hub, a 336-bed student residence is a hub for student life that also addresses the growing demand for student housing while enhancing the overall campus experience. The project includes: a 320-bed student residence, 150-seat music performance hall, cafeteria, dining hall, gymnasium, classrooms, faculty offices, and ensemble rooms.
Kalesnikoff’s mass timber is incorporated within Humber College’s Cultural Hub Complex. The mass timber residences featuring cross-laminated timber exemplify Humber College’s commitment to integrating sustainability. As a mass timber building designed to be constructed to the highest standards of sustainability, the project is targeting LEED Platinum certification and will be a net-zero carbon facility.
