Mass Timber Revitalizes Junior School
The Southridge Junior School expansion and renovation project utilized mass timber to transform the existing building to meet the evolving needs of future student generations. Mass timber’s natural warmth creates a welcoming, biophilic environment that will enhance student well-being and foster an uplifting learning environment.
Kalesnikoff supplied the Cross-laminated timber (CLT) for the floor and wall panels and the Glulam (GLT) beams in collaboration with onsite partners. The prefabricated mass timber components enabled faster construction with minimal on-site disruption.
