Portland, OR. — Kalesnikoff Mass Timber is unveiling new modular timber classrooms at the world’s largest mass timber conference in Portland, Oregon at Booth 878 to thousands of attendees.

“Given the rising costs and other challenges of traditional construction, and ongoing labour shortages, these modular classrooms – like modular housing – are generating a lot of interest,” said Kalesnikoff.
The new mass timber classroom mods are extremely adaptive to meet the needs of the community and school. They can be configured as a single classroom, or combined for an expansion or a complete new school, in a single storey or stacked format. They are designed for timely assembly, delivery and site installation; provide safe and modern mechanical air performance, and are complete with digital, heating and plumbing pre-installed.
Constructed of cross-laminated timber (CLT) from Kalesnikoff’s own mass timber facility in the West Kootenays from high-quality B.C. wood, the modulars feature CLT floors, walls and ceiling for rigid, reliable and resilient classrooms that can keep occupants comfortable in any climate.
The Kalesnikoff team has extensive experiences building primary, secondary and post-secondary schools and other educational facilities, as well as multi-storey residential, commercial, workforce housing and other infrastructure.
